1880 Philip Van Artevelde by Sir Henry Taylor City of London School Oxblood Leather Double Armorial Book

Bound in rich oxblood (burgundy) full leather with extensive gilt tooling, this handsome volume features the arms and motto of the City of London School to the front board and a separate armorial crest with the Latin motto Sub Tegmine Fagi ("Beneath the Shade of a Beech Tree") to the rear board. The binding is enhanced by gilt-decorated boards and spine, marbled endpapers, and all page edges gilt.
